RVT
Originally from South Georgia, Rachelle’s love for animals was evident early in childhood while rescuing baby birds, chickens, and kittens. Eventually this passion led her to pursue a career working with animals. She began her career as a kennel technician and veterinary assistant, later graduating from Murray State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, specializing in Animal Health/Pre-Vet. Rachelle then went on to complete her veterinary technician training at Murray State University and obtained her RVT license in 2020.
Rachelle is known for staying calm under pressure, confidently managing fast-paced, emergency-filled days while providing compassionate care to pets and their families. She has special interests in hematology and parasitology, and she values building strong client relationships grounded in a shared love of animals. One of her greatest joys is watching puppies and kittens grow into healthy adult and senior pets.
Outside of work, Rachelle loves spending quality time with her two children and her cat, Coraline. She enjoys reading—especially thrillers, mysteries, non-fiction, and science fiction—as well as watching movies, traveling, shopping, and gaming with her kids.
Fun Fact: During a major brain surgery at UNC Chapel Hill, one of the physicians actually had to hold her brain. Now, her post-op X-rays have a slightly “alien” look—something she loves to laugh about.
